SUB-CHANGE is a novelty and highly visual effect. The magician steps on a Joker card, and then asks the spectator to select a card. In an instant, the Joker under the magician's foot visually transforms into the spectator's chosen card. You can even perform a version where the spectator's card and the Joker under your foot switch places!
