Alex Blade - Utopian Prediction

Description

Effect- An envelope is sealed and given to a spectator days (or even weeks) before the show and she/he is asked not to open it and to bring it to the show/event. On the night of the performance the envelope is brought up to the stage and is opened BY the SPECTATOR and the performer does not touch the envelope once. The spectator is then asked to read out the piece of paper and it says something like:

“On Thursday the 15th of July, on page 12 of the daily mail, the second word along shall read… TREE”

A copy of the daily mail is opened by a audience member and opened to whatever page that is noted on the prediction (in this case 12) and the prediction is found to be correct.

NO stooges, switches or gimmicks.

What I say- I feel very lucky to have been one of the first to read this effect, I really like it. The method is one that makes you think, “ why didn’t I think of that” a bit like pk touches. It is what it says; there are no stooges, switches, or gimmicks. In my opinion it should also say, “Can be done with any paper, anytime and on anyone”
